Play Store screenshot generator
A browser editor that exports Google Play phone screenshots at exactly 1080 × 1920 — the size Google itself recommends. Your app screens are never uploaded: everything renders on a canvas in your own tab.
Last verified: 17 October 2026
9:16 portrait, up to eight per set, PNG, no watermark and no cap on exports. That matches Google Play's recommended portrait size and its 8-per-device-type ceiling — see the spec.
How it works
- Pick a template set
Each set is a hand-built layout for the whole carousel — background, phone frame, headline and subheadline per frame — so the eight screenshots read as one sequence instead of eight unrelated images. Three sets are free.
- Drop in your app screens
One image per frame, placed into the phone frame. The file is read in the browser; it is not sent anywhere.
- Write a headline per frame
One line each. You write them — there is no generated copy in ExportKit.
- Download all
Every frame at 1080 × 1920, numbered in order, or the whole kit as a zip with the icon and feature graphic alongside.
What you get
Individual PNGs, or a zip foldered the way you upload it:
| File | Size |
|---|---|
screenshots/phone/<app>-screenshot-1.png | 1080 × 1920 |
… up to -screenshot-8.png | 1080 × 1920 |
What it does not do
ExportKit does not write your screenshots for you and there is no image generation in it: you bring the app screens and the words, and it handles layout, sizing and export. That is a deliberate line, not a missing feature — a generated store listing is a rejected store listing.
It doesn't make every App Store size yet. The iPhone device exports at 1290 × 2796, which Apple accepts, but not at 1179 × 2556 or 1206 × 2622, the size Apple requires at least one of. If you are submitting to the App Store, read App Store screenshot sizes first.
It wants a desktop screen. The editor is a canvas tool with panels either side, built for roughly 1280–1600 px wide. This page reads fine on a phone; do the work on a laptop.
It is free to use: 1080 × 1920 Play screenshots, the icon, the feature graphic, the full
.zip and three screenshot template sets, with no watermark and no cap on exports. The rest of
the template library is a one-time licence that is not on sale yet. You can start
without an account; signing in with Google is what keeps the work between visits.

Questions
Is the Play screenshot generator free?
Yes, and not as a trial. Every size, the full zip export and three screenshot template sets are free, with no watermark and no cap on how many files you export. The rest of the template library is a one-time licence that is not on sale yet.
Do I need an account?
Not to use it. The editor opens and exports with no sign-in. Signed out, your work lives in that browser tab and is gone when you close it; signing in with Google keeps it between visits.
Are my app screens uploaded anywhere?
No. Images are read and rendered in your browser, and the PNGs and the zip are assembled in the same tab. Nothing is uploaded unless you sign in and ask for a backup.
How many screenshots can I make?
Up to eight per set, which is Google Play's own maximum per device type. There is no limit on how many times you export them.
What size does it export?
1080 × 1920 PNG, 9:16 portrait — Google Play's recommended portrait screenshot size.
